Since 2012 the research group Virtual Reality / Anticipation exists in the structural area of Sport and Technology / Movement Science, which focuses on the following topics:
- Use of virtual reality in sports (e.g. gymnastics).
- Motor behavior of humans in virtual reality
- Comparison of gaze behavior in VR compared to the real environment
- Visual perception in VR
- Motor learning in VR
- Use of VR for persons with dementia
- Anticipation in karate
